| Brett and I are having girls. They will be identical, contrary to previous analysis. Hooray. Their names shall be Kaitlyn Elyse and Mallory Anne. They will be smart, funny and attractive--all the things their parents are not. Please pray for us all. I no longer have a belly button...where there was once a pit is now just a funny twist of skin completely level with the rest of my belly... I sense that bigger changes than me getting really fat are soon to follow. | | |
| Those things are expensive. How can people gouge a pregnant woman? I mean, come on. And NOBODY ever has a sale on pregnant clothes. Nobody. Does anybody know of anyone wanting to get rid of any maternity clothes? If so, I would be eternally grateful. I am starting to get fat, and my pants don't fit anymore. | | |
| Last night I woke up about about 4:00am to find that our power had gone out. The streetlights were off, making it (of course) pitch black, so I stumbled around the house, half asleep, looking for a flashlight so I could set the alarm on my cell phone so I wouldn't be late for work. That took about 15 minutes. The power stayed off until about 6:00am. Then, as I lay in bed trying to go back to sleep, I felt my babies kick for the first time. It was weird and not what I thought it would be like, but I woke Brett up and told him. I don't know if he understood what I was saying. I'll tell him later today. ; ) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. | | |
| So, apparently, babies float around. Last night, when I went to bed, they were nestled safely and snugly in between my hip bones, down low, where they have been and I thought they would stay. This morning, when I woke up, they were chilling out right under my belly button. They moved like 5 inches! It was weird. Then, of course, they made me a little sick to my stomach when they settled back in because organs and everything had to be shifted around. And Heather thinks that she has some hooligans in class...I have some plotting my demise right now in their secret twin language... | | |
| Last night I was delighted to receive a telephone call from a certain Leanne Moore from a certain Peace Corps post in a certain Nicaragua. (I believe you catch my drift...*wink*) It was nice to hear that she's doing well, and it was good to fill her in on all the stuff that's been going on. I will be glad when she gets back to the U.S., but that's because I'm selfish. = ) In other news, Brett and I need a bigger house. It was fine when we thought we were having one baby, but now our cute little house has become a painfully small house. And we don't even have children running around it yet! Also, I have been eating non-stop for about a week now. Every time my stomach gets empty, I get sick to my stomach, so I have to be munching constantly. Not that I mind--it's actually quite nice. And no one says anything about it, as opposed to before the pregnancy when I had to munch discreetly to avoid scrutiny. I dislike scrutiny. | | |
